As our client continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Journalist who is passionate about technology, innovation, and digital business, and who can independently identify compelling stories, conduct research and interviews, and create high-quality content that informs and engages readers. This role is full on-site in Limassol, Cyprus.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and develop compelling stories covering technology, startups, business, innovation, digital trends, and the evolving tech landscape.

• Write clear, accurate, engaging, and well-structured news articles, features, interviews, and opinion-led content.

• Monitor local and international technology, business, and startup news to identify relevant and timely stories.

• Conduct interviews with entrepreneurs, business leaders, technology professionals, investors, founders, and other industry experts.

• Attend relevant industry events, conferences, product launches, networking events, and press briefings to identify new stories and opportunities.

• Verify facts, sources, quotes, and information to ensure a high standard of journalistic accuracy and credibility.

• Develop original story ideas and contribute proactively to the platform’s editorial agenda.

• Follow emerging technologies, digital trends, and developments within the Cyprus and international tech ecosystems.

• Produce content that is relevant and accessible to a broad digital audience while maintaining strong editorial standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Journalist, Technology Journalist, Business Journalist, Content Writer, or in a similar editorial role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong interest in technology, startups, innovation, business, and the digital economy.

• Excellent research and fact-checking skills, with a strong attention to detail.

• Ability to identify newsworthy topics and develop original story ideas independently.

• Strong interviewing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with sources and industry professionals.

• Experience covering the Cyprus technology, startup, or business ecosystem would be considered a strong advantage.
