A leading digital services company is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Assistant for their Nicosia office. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices, with proven experience in managing financial records and supporting business operations.
You must be able to handle financial tasks effectively while adhering strictly to company policies and regulatory requirements. A key aspect of the role involves identifying opportunities for process improvement and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with other departments, including operations and management, to support the company’s financial health.

What You’ll Do
As a Finance & Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial and accounting operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the invoicing process, collections, and financial reporting.
- Handle outgoing and incoming payments, including execution, filing, and correspondence with relevant parties.
- Execute international payments to marketing affiliates and other associates.
- Monitor liquidity, maintain payment records, and prepare reconciliation analyses.
- Update and maintain monthly VAT/Tax reports.
- Stay informed about VAT/Tax regulations in the EU, the US, and other third countries.
- Assist with KYC updates requested by banks and onboarding processes for new bank accounts.
- Conduct market research to explore potential collaborations with new banking and electronic money institutions.
- Support auditors and external advisors by providing required information.
- Identify discrepancies and provide meaningful insights to management.
- Assist with ad hoc financial tasks as needed.
- Report directly to the Group’s Financial Controller.
List of Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a company operating online (an advantage).
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong task prioritization skills, proactive mindset, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written English.
- Highly motivated, problem-solving, and results-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
