About the Company:
Our client is a leading professional company, specializing in tax and accounting services for corporate clients. They are looking for a highly experienced and dedicated Head of Accounting to join their team in Belgrade, Serbia.
What You’ll Do:
As Head of Accounting, your main duty will be to manage the entire accounting department, assign tasks, receive and reconcile statements and prepare various documents, both for internal use and for the company’s clients.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Managing the Accounting team and guiding client bookkeeping and communication
- Working on the monthly and year-end closings
- Responsible for submission of VAT returns, CIT and FS
- Receiving, processing, and reconciling statements
- Providing various periodical internal reports
- Taking care of the monthly/quarterly balance reconciliations
- Preparing documentation for internal and external auditors
- Cooperation with the Tax authorities, inspectors and banks
- Managing company budgets and cash flow
- Cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements:
To succeed in this position, you must fulfil the following conditions:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- At least 5 years of experience in the Accounting and/or Finance department
- Fluency in English
- Proficient in accounting software (knowledge of the Pantheon is an advantage)
- Experience in international or multinational companies is considered an advantage
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
