What You’ll Do
As a Vulnerability Tester, your main responsibility will be to conduct assessments on client systems, networks, and applications to identify potential weaknesses. You’ll analyze results, prioritize risks, and provide clear reports with recommendations to improve overall security posture.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform vulnerability scans and assessments on networks, systems, and applications.
- Identify, validate, and classify security weaknesses.
- Provide detailed reports with risk ratings and remediation advice.
- Collaborate with penetration testers and security engineers to address findings.
- Support compliance assessments and regulatory audits.
- Research emerging threats, exploits, and tools to keep testing methods current.
- Maintain accurate documentation of vulnerabilities, risks, and mitigations.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must meet the following conditions:
- 1–3 years of experience in vulnerability testing, system auditing, or IT security.
- Knowledge of common vulnerabilities (CVE, CVSS scoring, OWASP Top 10).
- Familiarity with tools such as Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys, Nexpose, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and explain technical findings to different audiences.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are desirable.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
